2018 GMEC Conference
The Florida Geotechnical & Materials Engineering Council (GMEC) hosts the premier annual conference for geotechnical professionals in the State of Florida. Nearly 140 people attended, along with several exhibitors including Madrid Engineering Group, Inc., of Bartow, Florida.
Madrid is the U.S. Technical Advisor for CONSOLID chemical stabilization technology, and worked with CONSOLID USA at this conference to introduce the system to Florida engineers and materials scientists. The conference was a great success!
Seminar “Waterproofing and Chemical Soil Stabilization”
The School of Engineering of the University of Panama held this seminar to guide engineers and students on the latest techniques used in countries such as Spain and the United States.
The Dean, Elías López, highlighted the importance of this training in finding solutions to the problems roads create. Spanish engineer Javier Batlle explained the benefits of the Consolid System, made up of two products (Solidry and Consolid 444) that waterproof treated soils and increase their bearing capacity.
Ambassador Felipe Pereira presented Consolid’s benefits to Panamanian engineers and students — harmless to the environment, reusable and very durable — and proposed academic cooperation agreements with the university.
