What is it?
CONSOLID Nanotechnology
It is a high-engineering technology for soil stabilization, with added benefits such as water repellency and improved soil bearing capacity, while being easy to use and environmentally friendly.
CONSOLID Nanotechnology accelerates the petrification process of treated soils by acting as a positive catalyst. It combines two components, CONSOLID 444 (liquid) and SOLIDRY (solid), which — once mixed with the soil and compacted — achieve optimal stabilization. That is why it is an option for almost every soil.
Advantages over untreated soil
- Improves compaction and induces waterproofing immediately and irreversibly in almost all soil types, by mixing its two components with the in-situ soil.
- Effectively improves compressive strength.
- Activates the soil’s own cohesive forces and reduces the influence of water noticeably and permanently.
- Increases the resilient modulus and the compaction density.
- Petrifies the soil and permanently removes its sensitivity to water.
- Multiplies soil bearing capacity 2 to 20 times.
- Inhibits water absorption: it waterproofs.
- The stabilized layer can be opened to traffic once optimal compaction is finished; opening 2 hours later is recommended.
- Unaffected by temperature changes (contraction and expansion), preventing future deformation.
